Necrometer Update Oct. 2024
What is the Necrometer app?
The Necrometer app is designed to be a multi-functional tool for paranormal investigators, researchers, and enthusiasts. The app has a meter that uses your devices Magnetometer sensor to detect and measure magnetic interference in the environment. The Text mode of the app uses this meter in a way that influences word selection (a similar idea to that of the well-known Ovilus ITC device). The Necrometer Text mode has access to over 63k words and phrases. The Speech mode uses only letters of the alphabet to generate speech sounds. The idea is that spirits can use it to form coherent messages. The speech mode is meant to be used in a manner similar to that of using a ghost box or other audio ITC devices. This means listening, recording, and reviewing is crucial to finding and understanding the communication being received.
Update, What’s new?
We’ve revamped the Text mode and greatly improved it’s functionality. This includes an auto-adjusting sensitivity, a new dynamic probability scale that influences word selection based on a combination of meter fluctuation, fluctuation amount, and the most current readings. This probability scale adjusts and recalculates itself over time. The app now performs a calibration on startup that includes shuffling the word bank and creating a unique setup for your session. This function to shuffle the word bank when you start the app came from the idea of shuffling tarot cards before a reading is performed. One of the more remarkable additions to the app is the ability for it to create it’s own words and phrases that are then temporarily added to the word bank. This allows the app the expand upon the readings being received. One of the more requested features for the app is to have a Transcription Log so the users can go back and see what words and phrases have come through. We added this feature to the Text mode settings of the app.
Future plans for the app?
This is the 2nd of many updates to come for the Necrometer app as I am constantly thinking of new ways to improve it. The next update, that will be done in the future, I will not only be improving the Text mode even further, but will focus on adding more features for the Speech mode.
